This charming duplex, just a stone’s throw from London’s Embankment was refurbished to give an uplift to the lighting and interior design. By day the apartment is filled with natural light from all of the glazed elements – our focus was to create a balancing  warm and inviting night time mood.

A sculptural lighting installation to the entrance lobby lifts the impression of the space and provides decorative focus, framed by the softly lit spiral staircase.

Concealed striplighting creates layers of reflected light within the bathroom space, making a feature of the differing ceiling heights as well as highlighting the skylight elements with soft washes of light.
The upper floor has a very outward view during the day – with extensive glazing and outdoor terraces. At night the focus was inwards by highlighting the joinery display elements and central table arrangements. Tall lamps frame the curved seating area – spot lit with concealed lights within the skylights. Pull out ‘Scoop’ downlights within the pitched ceiling allowed for greater flexibility with lighting whilst still being a discrete and seamless installation.
